Hiking: Diez Vistas Trail at Buntzen Lake on Sun, Mar 27th (9am-5pm). Hike Rating C3

Diez Vistas literally means 10 viewpoints. Come see them all on Sunday, March 27th! Be prepared for a long, sometimes steep but very rewarding hike! Besides the viewpoints we'll see lush forest, marshland and will stop at a beach on beautiful Buntzen Lake for a snack. RSVP information is below.

Hike Details
Difficulty: Moderate to Hard. There is a steep section near the beginning (no climbing) and then it flattens out. Please check out the hike details before confirming your rsvp.
Elevation gain: 460 meters
Time: 6-7 hours

Cancellation policy: if the forecast calls for heavy rain, a decision to cancel 
or not will be made the night before

What to bring
*Proper* footwear (as the trail is muddy), lunch, gloves, hat, extra snacks, camera, min 1L water, warm jacket/rain gear, warm sweater, cash. Mokuyokai reserves the right to turn away unprepared participants. We are NOT stopping for food on the way, so please come prepared.

Car Pooling
We will arrange car-pooling from the LougheedSkytrain Parking Station lot. It works on a first come, first serve basis (i.e., if someone RSVPs and can drive 3 people, the first three people who signed up get a lift.) Please give your driver a minimum of $5-$10 for gas and their time (you can decide a fair amount with your driver.) Drivers are usually in short supply, so if you can drive, it is appreciated.

A= Beginner: For everyone. A walk in the park.
B= Intermediate: For the people who occasionally play sports.
C= Strenuous: You regularly exercise and want a challenge.
