Special Event: Mokuyokai and Kiyukai Summer Barbecue at Jericho Beach - Sunday August 7 (11:30am-4:30pm)

We are happy to invite you to the annual Mokuyokai and Kiyukai Summer BBQ, on Sunday August 7, 2011.

 

We will be BBQ'ing steak, salmon, and yakisoba while enjoying onigiri, cold salad, watermelon and drinks. We will also be dancing, playing our favorite tug-of-war game, caterpillar walk and watermelon smash!

 

This year, we welcome Yosakoi Soran dance group from Japan to join us on this fun-filled day! We have also invited other Canada-Japan community organizations, so it will be a great opportunity to meet your friends and others involved in the local Japanese community!

 

When: 11:30am-4:30pm, Sunday, Aug 7, 2011 (warm food served 12:30-2:30pm)
Where: Jericho Beach Park (grass park 2 blocks West of Alma & West 4th avenue, Vancouver)
Cost: $12/Mokuyokai & Kiyukai Members, $15 non-members, children are $1 per year of age until 10 years old

Note:

1) Please pay cash on the day of the BBQ. We thank you in advance for bringing exact change.
2) Mokuyokai will buy the ingredients before the BBQ. We will ask no-shows or people who cancel after Aug 2 to honour the participation fee. Thank you for your understanding.

3) Bring your lawn mat/chairs, utensils, and water bottles! This will help us reduce amount of waste.
4) Volunteers are needed to help set up, registration, cook and clean up! Email volunteer@mokuyokai.bc.ca if you are interested!
