Hike up the Stawamus Chief (1st Peak) on Sun, May 5th. Rating C2

Ever wondered what the view is like from atop the Stawamus Chief (that granite dome near Squamish, on the way to Whistler)? Here is your chance! Join Mokuyokai up the Chief for a breathtaking view of Howe Sound and the town of Squamish.

For those who have never climbed it, the Chief is perhaps the best known hike near Vancouver. There are three peaks and we are going to the first one only. The trail is steep at times but overall is easier than the Grouse Grind. After the hike, we'll likely go for food and drinks near Squamish. Please note, if the forecast calls for rain, the hike will be cancelled the day before. Please make sure you come prepared for this hike (we're not stopping on the way for food or snacks).
