After the great fun we had last year under the blossoms, we thought we'd do it again this year!  Although lots of trees are blooming around the city, the trees up at Queen Elizabeth park are lagging behind a bit, so it looks they'll be beautiful on the 13th.

We'll be having a somewhat Japanese-style hanami event in Queen Elizabeth Park.  Let's gather at Queen Elizabeth at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 13. This will be a very easy going event; please bring your own lunch / bento / snacks and (non-alcoholic) drinks.

Since this is a public park in Canada, unfortunately we can't drink alcohol.  But we'll have a great time nonetheless.  We might not have sake, but we will have at least TWO blue tarps!  If you have a tarp or large picnic blanket, please bring it along.  Other ideas for things to bring: acoustic musical instruments, frisbees, hackey sack, badminton, haiku writing gear ... ?

I will once again be the human-karaoke-machine, so get ready to sing!

Everyone is welcome to this no-charge event.  See you on the 13th!
