Garlibaldi Lake Hike: Sun, July 21st (8:30am ~6:30 pm) - FULL

*update July 17th* this hike is FULL. Thanks for your interest! We will have another hike in late August.

*update July 15th* we have more participants than spots in cars, so if you can come and drive, please let us know.

We're going to one of BC's most beautiful lakes – Garibaldi! This is one of the best hikes in the area. As always, drivers are appreciated!

**Important note** If you rsvp and do not get a reply by email within 24hrs, please send a new email to hike[at]mokuyokai.bc.ca. (where [at] = @). We've had some issues with emails lately.

Hike Description:

"With turquoise colored water nestled between alpine mountains and a spectacular glacier as the backdrop, Garibaldi Lake is one of the most scenic destinations in British Columbia." - Vancouver Trails

The first 6km of the trial is a gradual uphill climb through dense forest of Douglas Fir trees. We'll then pass The Barrier (a 2km thick lava dam holding back Garibaldi Lake) and two smaller lakes before reaching majestic Garibaldi Lake. We'll relax, eat and enjoy the beautiful scenery at Garibaldi Lake before returning the way we came.
