Ever wonder what the view is like from that huge face of rock at Squamish (on the way to Whistler)? Hike with us up this famous trail and be rewarded with a stunning view of Howe Sound. Difficulty level is moderate-hard; hiking time is 6 hours.
WHEN: SATURDAY, MAY 3 (9am-4pm) The Hike itself is 4-5 hours
MEETUP: VANCOUVER TOURISM CENTRE, 200 BURRARD ST. (corner of West Cordova and Burrard) 8:30am
What to bring: Proper footwear (as the trail is steep), lunch, gloves, hat, snacks, camera, water, warm and weatherproof jacket/, warm sweater, cash. The weather can change quickly – even if the weather is sunny and warm in Vancouver, it can be cool and windy atop the Chief, so please prepare accordingly. Mokuyokai reserves the right to turn away unprepared participants.
COST: MEMBERS FREE; NON-MEMBERS $5 Pay your driver for gas as well!
Car Pooling
We will arrange car-pooling. It works on a first come, first serve basis (i.e., if someone RSVPs and can drive 3 people, the first three people who sign up get a lift.) Please give your driver $5-10 for gas and their time. Drivers are usually in short supply, so if you can drive, it is appreciated. RSVP: email to hike@mokuyokai.bc.ca by Thursday May 1st.
