The Next Donwakai (pub night) is Thurs, May 19 (5:30-7:30pm) at Ceilis Irish Pub & Restaurant (3rd Floor)

Do you have a strong interest in Japan? Want to meet others who have a connection to Japan, either professionally or personally?
You are invited to the Donwakai, Mokuyokai's monthly pub night that brings together those who have a shared interest in Japan-Canada relations.

At the Donwakai, you will meet approximately 40-50 people who have a strong connection to Japan: business people, teachers, lawyers, diplomats, students and others from Canada, Japan and elsewhere. Most of our participants have lived or travelled in Japan at some point in their lives.

So if you want to network, share experiences about Japan, learn more about Mokuyokai or just meet like minded people, then don't miss this event! The atmosphere is casual and feel free to invite a friend. Please note, you must have government issued ID (e.g., passport or Canadian driver's license) to attend as Ceilis is a licensed establishment.

The Donwakai is on the 3rd floor (patio) – come in through the main entrance on Smithe Street and watch for the notices. In order to keep the Donwakai going strong, participants are required to order something off the menu (minimum of $6 before taxes and gratuities) but we'll still provide some appetizers. On Thursdays, Ceilis has two fab deals: $5 Fish 'n Chips and $5 Keith's Pints. The Fish 'n Chips are especially popular.
